DFID is opening the second funding round of the Global Poverty Action Fund (GPAF). The GPAF will be a demand-led fund supporting projects focused on service delivery in support of poverty reduction and the most off-track Millennium Development Goals in poor countries. Projects will be selected on the basis of demonstrable impact on poverty, clarity of outputs and outcomes, and value for money.
The Fund has two funding windows, the ‘Innovation window’ and the ‘Impact window’. If you wish to apply for either your organisation will need to fit the following (summarised) criteria:
- Innovation window: Grant up to £250k, annual value less than 40% of your organisation’s annual income, ‘small’ UK-based not-for-profit organisation with average income <£500k p.a. for the last 3 years
- Impact window: Grant from £250k – £4m, annual value less than 40% of your organisation’s annual income, ‘medium’ UK-based not-for-profit organisation OR locally registered organisation in countries where DFID has a country office, requires >25% matched funding. Link to Millenium Development Goals
The next funding round for the Innovation Window is due to open 1 May 2011, and the Impact Window on 31 July 2011. Detailed information and criteria can be found on the DFID website – if you wish to get in touch with TBN for advice or more information contact us at [email protected] or contact Triple Line Consulting on 0208 788 4680, [email protected]
Management of the Fund has been contracted out to Triple Line Consulting Ltd. DFID ask that questions about the fund be address to them.
