TBN Partner Martin Geake is retiring as CEO of Send a Cow, after leading the charity for 13 years. Send A Cow alleviate poverty through empowerment, support and education. By providing livestock, seeds and training they produce remarkable results, helping families leave poverty behind for good. They are looking for a person of exceptional and outstanding character, with imagination and vision, to carry on the vital role of leading the organisation through an exciting period of growth. This is an amazing opportunity for a highly motivated TBN Partner or Member to assume an integral role in the evolution of an ambitious project.

Salary:  £55 – £60k negotiable
Location: Bath, UK

For 25 years Send a Cow has been helping thousands of African families and orphans grow enough food to eat, sell their produce and develop small businesses that last. Providing livestock, seeds, training and ongoing support, we produce remarkable results, helping families leave poverty behind for good.

We are now one year into an ambitious three year growth plan which will see our programme in eight sub Saharan countries double in size and income rise from £4m to £7m. Our current CEO who has successfully steered and developed Send a Cow for the last 13 years will be retiring in the summer and we are therefore now looking for another leader of exceptional and outstanding character, – someone who will inspire us with their imagination and vision, while shaping our strategic direction. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated professional to assume an integral role in the evolution of an ambitious NGO.

Working as a collaborative and influential leader, you will bring significant experience of working at Board level, a strong commitment to international development, a sharp business focus and a proven track record of bringing about transformational change. Passionate but humble, equipped with high emotional intelligence as well as the confidence to make clear and considered decisions, you will be a natural leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse management team, both here in the UK and in Africa.

You will be required to uphold and promote the charity’s Christian ethos and values which are central to Send a Cow and to provide spiritual leadership. For these reasons you will have a personal Christian faith.

Based in Bath, this post involves regular UK travel and travel overseas.
