Last year’s Business Mentoring Training day was very warmly received with enthusiastic comments from delegates:
“The day was just excellent. Well structured and contained useful resources. I would have paid 10 times as much for it.”
“The course was well structured and David was very knowledgeable.”
“The models and tools shared were excellent and gold in themselves; the use of action exercises and theory was well balanced.”
“The cross-cultural aspects of mentoring was brilliantly and respectfully explored.”
“It was a great day.”
The good news is that we will not be raising the price this time! The day will again be led by David Leeper.
David is Managing Director of his own business specialising in Executive and Business Mentoring and Coaching, he is a Master Coach with the European Coaching Institute, a full member of the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches and a Coach Supervisor and has been involved with TBN for a number of years. He has individually coached and mentored executives from over 60 different nationalities, helping businesses achieve their goals in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. He runs business mentoring training for the Princes Trust and trains people for the International Certificate in Executive and Corporate Coaching/Mentoring.
It will be an important day which will leave you well equipped to support transformational businesses and entrepreneurs. It’s tempting to think that our business skills are all that we need to help other people. TBN run training days and many attendees said it was only when they went to the business mentoring training day last year that they fully realised there are some real skills in helping someone else develop their business. There are specific skills and a structured approach which it’s very important to pick up and we’d encourage anyone interested in the very rewarding activity of helping and developing others to attend the training.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday.
Topics to be covered during the day will include:
- Introduction to mentoring
- Skills that make a good mentor (including rapport, listening and asking the right questions)
- The engaging and contracting process
- Mentor feedback
- Creating the agenda and structuring the involvement of the mentor
- Practicalities of coaching
- Evaluating impact
