An exposure or ‘expo’ trip is a short but often life changing visit to a developing country. It will give you insights into what life is like for the poorest people in the world. It will help you understand the issues, the opportunities and how your skills could make a difference.
An expo is a short small group trip to experience transformational businesses normally in the developing world. The aim is to:
- Understand the issues and opportunities in the area visited
- Meet project leaders and observe, learn from and evaluate existing projects
- In some cases, contribute through mentoring or providing business training
- Begin to discover opportunities to engage in poverty relief through transformational business.
- Have fun with liked-minded people including some rest and relaxation.
Expos are a often a life changing event. It’s where the passion and drive come from. It’s impossible to experience a slum area, a refugee camp or rural poverty and not be moved; or to see the natural beauty of a place and the warmth of its people and not be changed.
